This page is a select series from my fourth-year final narrative project in my bachelor’s degree. This series follows my grandmother and her relationship with flowers. My grandmother has always loved flowers. My earliest memories with her is always having flowers in the house when my family would visit, and bringing us flowers when she came to our house. As I became older, I started to notice flowers and their beauty and loved taking pictures of them. This became a passion for me, and I grew more serious about photography. While running a business with the Ontario Summer Company program when I was 15, I sold my images of flowers on coasters, cards, and calendars. My grandmother was one of my biggest supporters and would sell my work to her friends, and by the end of the summer I finished at the top of the program. When I told her I wanted to study photography at Sheridan she never questioned my choice or if I would succeed; she helped me every way she could so I would achieve my goals. This book is the result of my relationship with my grandmother who has always encouraged me to be myself and follow my dreams.
